Ingredients to prepare Healthy Almond til Chikki Recipe:
1 tsp ghee, ½ cup black sesame seeds, 1/3 cup grated jaggery, ½ cup thinly sliced almonds, ½ tsp ghee for greasing
Method to prepare Healthy Almond til Chikki Recipe:
To prepare almond til chikki, first roast sesame seeds over medium flame on heated tawa for few minutes so that they turn golden brown in color. Keep it aside to let them cool. Repeat same procedure with almonds too.
Grease the back portion of thali with few drops of ghee and keep it aside.
Heat ghee in pan and add jaggery to it. Simmer over slow flame so that jaggery melts and caramelizes. Now prepare hard balls from it after adding cold water to it. Remove from flame.
Add roasted sesame seeds and almonds to melted jaggery and mix well. Switch off the flame.
When mixture gets ready, pour it over the greased thali. Roll the chikki out into thin sheets using a greased rolling pin.
When the mixture gets cool, cut into square pieces.
Store in an air-tight container and savour it whenever you like!
