Chittaranjan Park which is a home to the flourishing Bengali community has been the epicenter for Durga Puja celebrations in Delhi. Being a hub of the Kolkata type life style it is one of the most popular destination of Durga Puja celebration in Delhi. The celebration is held for five days starting from Maha Shasthi, Maha Saptami, Maha Ashtami, Maha Navami and Bojoya Dashami.
Some of the limelight of the Durgotsav in Chittaranjan Park includes the magnificently made idols, innovative mandaps (pandals), distribution of the traditionally prepared Bhog prashad and a line of cultural activities. More than 13 pujas are celebrated in Chittaranjan Park. The Milan Samihiti Durga Puja is one of the biggest in C.R Park. The other pujas include the Navapalli Puja Samhiti & C.R Kali Mandir Society.
