Lenovo, the eminent brand in notebooks and peripherals, is
currently facing poor service support allegations from
channel partners in the Northeast region.
Speaking to itVARnews, Proprietor, Padma Infotech, Silchar,
Gautam Rai, said, "Silchar IT market is one of the growing
markets of Northeast. The channels partners are facing lack
of service support from most of the vendors. However,
Lenovo's service support is worst in the region. Sometimes
we have to wait for 15 days to get our products back. As a
result we have stopped selling Lenovo products as it is
affecting our reputation in the market."
Few dealers have also questioned about the quality of its
products, which according to them is losing its charisma.
Another dealer from Dibrugarh, Proprietor, Commercial
friends, Suresh Aggarwal, added, "Lenovo has a service
center in Guwahati, which is far away from Dibrugarh and
even the customers are complaining that they are not getting
enough help and support from them."
The dealers opined that all these problems are not only
affecting the image of a vendor but also resulting in
decline of sales.
However, on the other hand there are dealers who are
satisfied with the service support of Lenovo. "We are
getting a good service support from Lenovo. We did not
receive alarming complaints from any customers. Even Lenovo
is putting all its effort to solve such crisis", said
Manager, Poly Infotech IMC, Sanu Barthajur.
When itVARnews contacted Lenovo for its feedback, the
company could not respond due to unavailability of any
spokesperson.
