Hailakandi Airfield
« on: July 17, 2013, 08:34:48 PM »
Hi,

Anyone has any idea about Hailakandi Airfield? Means does it still exist? I am writing an article about Barak Valley during world war II and it was the only airfield present in Barak and acted as home to United States Air-force's 1st Special unit. This place was mentioned in many World War II books and articles. It was mentioned as a crucial and important base during Burma Campaign. Please help me by providing some information regarding this Airfield. May be with proper voice and support this place will find its deserved place. Thanks in advance.

Thanks

Extremely short article... well not even an article, but I believe by now you have acquired much knowledge about the airfield so please contribute to this tiny Wikipedia article too:
