Management Education in India

Management education in India had shown an upward trend in the past decade, as the Indian economic scene transformed for the better.

The global presence of India’s rising economy had opened management education as a new career option in India. The influx of new companies and the impact of globalization had made it necessary for International companies and organizations to look for someone to manage their services.

The new management opportunities spearheaded many private bodies to launch numerous management institutes across India.

MBA courses in India is spread over 5 types. Full time MBA, part time MBA, distance MBA, executive MBA, and online MBA.

Among the five, full time MBA is a specialized course, and is highly sought after by the companies, when they look for recruiting candidates for their company.

While, others are part time MBA courses, not as highly regarded as the full time MBA. MBA courses in India are the most sought after, and therefore the courses are quite expensive and not many from the lower middle class, or lower class can hope to complete their MBA dreams.

A candidate had to clear management entrance exams, if he harbors hopes of enrolling himself in Management institutes.

Management institutes such as Indian Institute of management conduct common admission test (CAT), as management entrance exams, to select candidates in their institutes.

While many management institutes such as SP Jain and few others, select candidates on the basis of their CAT score.

Such is the demand for management studies in India that it’s not just the written test; a thorough probing Interview process follows the written test, before the candidate finally gets admission to management colleges.

Endless career option opens up for management pass out; he could become an entrepreneur, or could join the corporate world.
