The University of Delhi is one the prominent university in Delhi. It lays its foundation in the year 1922 under the act of the Central legislative assembly. Initially, the Delhi University was affiliated with just three colleges namely St. Stephen’s College (founded in 1881), Hindu College (founded in 1899) and Ramjas College (founded in 1917). With the rise in the education demand, the university has divided the East campus houses to Medical Science and the West campus contains the Engineering and technology section.

Apart from regular degree course, Delhi University also conduct varied distance learning educational program such as Master of Business Administration (MBA), Master of Business Economics (MBE), Master of Finance and Control (MFC), M.Sc. Informatics have their own admission procedure.

Today, Delhi University has 14 faculties, 79 colleges and 86 academic departments which are spread all over Delhi. In addition, the Delhi University has also completed the implementation of Fibre-Optic networks in the North and South campuses.
