Anna University M.Tech/ME Admission Courses 2017-2018

Anna University is a unitary University that has been imparting quality and research oriented education to the students through its higher education policy for engineering and technology course in order to develop the students into world beaters in the field of engineering and technology. The Guindy College of Engineering, Alagappa College of technology, Madras Institute of technology and School of Architecture and Planning are all part of this great University. The University’s main campus that is spread over 100 hectares of land area adjoining the Adayar River also holds the Madras Institute of technology inside the campus at an area of over 20 hectares. It is one of the highest Affiliated Universities in South India with more than 430 engineering colleges affiliated to the University.

Eligibility Criteria:
It is necessary for the candidate seeking admission to the M.E or M tech courses of the Anna University to hold a Bachelor’s degree certificate in engineering or technology in any of the relevant branch from either Anna University or any other University or college that is recognized by this University. A minimum pass mark in the qualifying examination is a must in order to be eligible for taking up the M.E/ M Tech course offered by the University.

Admission procedure:
A student will be able to apply for the M.E or M tech course offered by the University if he or she writes the qualifying Tamilnadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET) conducted on a specific date at many centers across Tamilnadu. The students who secure merit marks in the qualifying entrance test will be selected to the Master of engineering or Master of technology courses offered by the University. There will be a slight reduction in the marks of about 10% for the students who belong to the SC/ST category.
