Anna University is one of the renowned Universities in Tamilnadu that has been in the forefront of providing quality education to the people of India as well as foreign countries since it inception on 4th September 1978. The University has got the highest rating “Five Star Status” from the University Grants Commission and is also an affiliated member of the Association of Indian Universities.
A candidate who is interested to take up the B Tech courses offered by the Anna University should have passed the 10+2 examination pattern that is recognized by the Government of Tamilnadu or any other equivalent examination that is recognized by the University. It is also necessary for the candidates to have secured a minimum of 60% marks in the science subjects like Physics and Chemistry apart from securing 60% marks in the Mathematics subjects in the qualifying final examination in order to be eligible for applying to the B tech courses in various colleges affiliated to the Anna University.
Any eligible candidate should have written the Tamilnadu Engineering Admission Test (TNEA) conducted by the University in its various Colleges of Engineering in order to apply for the B Tech course of Anna University. The candidates will be selected to the various courses and the colleges depending on the marks that he or she has obtained in the common entrance test conducted by the University.
