Mumbai University MBA/BBA Admission 2017-2018

The University of Mumbai is one of the oldest premier institutions of the country that came into existence in the year 1857. It was founded by Dr. Wilson and is located in the Maharashtra State in India. The University of Bombay was what it was called before. The name changed to University of Mumbai in 1996 as per the Government Gazette. Most of the colleges across Thane, Ratnagiri, Raigad districts are affiliated to University of Mumbai. The University is accredited with five star rating from NAAC. Some of the premier institutions in and around Mumbai like St. Xavierís College, Tata Institute of Fundamental Research, Institute of Chemical Technology etc are affiliated to the University of Mumbai. Eligibility criteria:
Any candidate seeking to apply for a BBA course in the University of Mumbai will have to have passed with an aggregate of 50% marks in the +2 Higher Secondary examination of the State of Maharashtra or its equivalent examinations conducted by various States of India. Some colleges under the University of Mumbai will take in students directly on the basis of the marks obtained in +2 examinations while others will select them on the basis of marks scored in the entrance test that they conduct. For getting an MBA admission, the candidate should have a Bachelorís degree in any discipline from a recognized University with a total aggregate of 50% minimum marks.

Admission Procedure:
A candidate will be eligible for admission to MBA course in the Mumbai University if he or she gets through the Common Entrance Test conducted by the Directorate of technical Education of the Government of Maharashtra. Admission will be on merit basis only. A student is eligible for admission to a BBA course conducted by the various colleges of Mumbai University only if he or she writes the entrance test conducted by the college and if he or she achieves a pass in the examination.
