NLSIU, Bangalore Courses

National law School of India University is an institution for law studies. It is located in Nagarbhavi. It was started in 1987. Strengthened research system and good teaching at law school is the result of many research projects undertaken by the school.

National law school has a good rapport with the National University of Singapore, Osgoode Hall Law School, York University, Canada and Buceuius Law School, Germany with the help of exchange programmes organised within these institutions. Students from these institutions have experienced studying here and vice versa which in turn helped understanding the culture and ideas of different countries. 80 students get admitted for 5-year B.A., LL.B. (Hons.) program every year. Selection is based on Common Law Admission Test.

National law school has experienced foreign professors from the U.S.A., Canada, U.K., Australia, Singapore, Hong Kong, China, South Africa, Malaysia and New Zealand. It also offers a Masterís Degree programme in Business Laws, and Post-Graduate Diploma programmes in Human Rights Law, Environmental Law, Medical Law and Ethics, Intellectual Property Law and Child Rights Law through distant education.

The law school is putting in lot of effort to stay ahead in globalisation. The graduates turn into legal practitioners, law teachers or engage in legal research or enter the judiciary. Classrooms and conference halls of law school are well facilitated in terms of technology. It has the biggest law library in India.
