University Courses Admission 2017-2018
Faculty of law is located in Allahabad. It was established in
1887. The university aims to excel in field of legal education.
It focuses in enabling the students to be able confront
challenges faced by the society.
The computer lab comprising of twenty five terminals is provided
with A/C. The students who are in need of a technical person are
trained by the lab instructor. Wi-Fi is provided to the faculty
members.
The library is one of the oldest in India possessing around
50,000 titles. Some of the books are rare legal literature. The
library is huge enough to accommodate around 100 students.
Library has subscribed to Manupatra which in turn will help in
providing access to more than 6000 journals and Law Reviews.
Courses offered are:
- Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) Degree
- Master of Laws (LL.M.) Degree
- Doctor of Philosophy in Law (D. Phil)
- Doctor of Laws (LL.D.)
The seats allocated for LL.B and LL.M are 320 and 30
respectively. The admission is based on entrance test conducted
by the university every year. Each semester consists of 6
subjects amounting to 60 subjects totally. Internship followed
by 2 main projects is made compulsory for every student in order
to improve their skills.
The university also provides access to Supreme Court cases
online, AIR Supreme Court and High Court case locator through
the networked desktops.
The university provides scholarship to three best students every
semester which helps in improving student’s confidence and helps
in developing interest among students to get scholarship. It
also increases the competition among students.
Placement and Personality Development Cell focuses in improving
personality of the students and helps them face the competitive
world and provides numerable job opportunities. It helps in
developing a student’s character both professionally and
personally.
