Ingredients to healthy bread upma recipe:
1 chopped onion, chopped green chilies, 1 chopped tomato, tiny
pieces of whole wheat bread, ½ tbsp ginger, 8-10 curry leaves, 2
tbsp oil, ¼ tbsp hing, ½ tbsp mustard seeds, ½ tbsp cumin
powder, chopped coriander for garnishing
Method to prepare healthy bread upma:
In a pan, heat some oil and sauté mustard seeds and cumin seeds
in it.
Now add chopped onions, green chilies and curry leaves to it and
stir-fry them.
Add chopped tomatoes and cook them for 5 minutes.
Now add bread pieces to pan and cook for a minute so that bread
become soft.
Serve hot.
Bread upma with
veggies
Ingredients to prepare bread upma with veggies:
2 carrots, 1 capsicum, 10 bread slices, 1 cup peas, oil as
required, small bunch of coriander leaves, 1 tsp urad dal, 1 tsp
mustard, ½ tsp pepper, 1 green chilly, salt as pepper
Method to prepare bread upma with veggies:
Pour salt mixed water over bread and cut it into pieces.
Chop onions, green chilies and capsicum into small parts. Grate
carrot and boil peas in a pan and keep it separately.
Now in another pan, sauté mustard seeds in oil and allow ural
dal to splutter. Now add carrots, capsicum, onions, capsicum,
peas and coriander leaves to pan and sauté nicely.
Season the veggie mix with salt and pepper.
Now add bread pieces to pan and mix well.
Serve hot.
