Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University was established by the Government of NCT Delhi under provisions of the Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University Act, 1998 having its Amendment in the year 1999. The University is accepted by the UGC (University Grants Commission) India under the section 12B for UGC Act. The University is given ISO 9001:2000 Certification for the Standardization, Quality and Testing by Certification Directorate, Ministry of the Communication and Information Technology, Department of Information Technology, and Government of India for periods of three years.

It is the teaching and affiliating University, which aims for facilitating and promoting research, studies, and addition work in the emerging areas for higher education. It is having focus on professional education in disciplines of technology, engineering, architecture, medicine, management, physiotherapy, pharmacy, education, nursing, journalism, law, mass communication, etc and for achieving excellence in associated fields as well as other matters associated therewith.

The University gives admission to the MCA course via Common Entrance Test.

Admission Procedure

For the ease of applicants and their parents, University is also offering facility for the Online Submission for the Application Form of CET. IPU-CET application form with CET (Common Entrance Test) Fee, Rs. 1000 with Rs. 100 as the postage & handling will be submitted via Internet Link: http://ipu.admissionhelp.com. The candidates may purchase hard copy through the Punjab & Sind Banks. The IPU-CET Application Form, completed in all the respects in preserved printed envelope provided with the Admission Brochure, must be submitted through hand at University counter or can be sent through Registered or Speed Post to given below address.
