Delhi University MBBS Entrance Exam 2017-2018

Delhi University arranges the DUMET (Medical-Dental Entrance Test) every year for the MBBS course each year. Interested candidates can apply using arranged application form. Application form and BOI (Bulletin of Information) is available from this address:

The mode of payment is Banker’s Cheque or Bank Draft of any Nationalised Bank favoring ‘Registrar, University of Delhi’ and payable at Delhi in this way:

BY HAND:
Rs. 750/- for the General & OBC candidates and Rs. 550/- for the SC/ST/PH candidates Cash payment is not accepted.
BY POST:
Rs. 800/- for the General & OBC candidates and Rs. 600/- for the SC/ST/PH candidates.

DU Eligibility Criteria 2015

The candidates need to have passed the 12th exam under the 10+2 with necessary subjects like Physics, Biology, Chemistry, and English from any recognised school having regular classes as well as positioned within National Capital Territory of Delhi. Candidates should have passed subjects like Physics, Biology, Chemistry, and English independently and should have minimum 50% (40% for the candidates of SC/ST group and 45% for OBC group) together in the Physics, Chemistry, Biology. The candidates also need to study 11-12th classes regularly through any recognised school located within National Capital Territory of Delhi. The duration of MBBS course is 4˝ years, trailed by the one-year obligatory rotating Internship Training.

Procedure for DUMET 2015

The syllabus of the Entrance Test is as prescribed by the CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) for 10+2 standard. The test has period of 3 hours. The paper will have 200 questions; 50 each in Physics, Chemistry, Botany, and Zoology. For every correct reply, the candidate will receive 4 marks and for each wrong reply, one mark is deducted from total marks scored.
