Sri Padmavathi Mahila Visvavidyalam was founded in the year 1983
by erstwhile and noted film star of Telugu film industry N.T.
Rama Rao with a vision to provide adequate and quality education
to the womenfolk in Andhra Pradesh state. The University is
situated in a lush green area of Tirupathi, a very famous
tourism pilgrimage center in South India. The University was
established in the year 1983 by the Sri Padmavathi Mahila
Visvavidyalam Act of 1983. The University is located in a
sprawling lush green campus in Tirupathi over 138 acres of land.
The campus has plenty of academic and research oriented programs
for the women students and the serene and calm atmosphere that
the University provides is the perfect setting for seeking
higher education.
Eligibility criteria:
The candidate who is seeking admission to the distance education
B Ed course of the University has to be an Indian citizen and
also should be a female candidate. In order to be eligible for
the course, the candidate will have to be a graduate in either
B.A or B. Sc or B. Com from any recognized University. Also, the
candidate needs to have at least two year teaching experience as
a regular teacher in any Government or municipality schools or
private schools that is recognized by the State Government.
Admission procedure:
The eligible candidates who seek admission to the two year B Ed
distance education program of the Sri Padmavati Mahila
Visvavidyalaya University will be selected to the course on the
basis of the length of service that they had done in their
teaching profession. The preference will be given to those
candidates who have experience in taking classes for the
