Kurukshetra University Distance Education BEd Admission 2017-2018

Kurukshetra University Distance Education BEd Course

Kurukshetra, the land where the historical battle of Mahabharatha took place, now holds the Kurukshetra University, one of the premiers Distance Education University in the country. The Kurukshetra University was established in the year 1956 with its foundation stone laid by the first president of India, late Dr. Rajendra Prasad. What started as a unitary residential University with only a functional Department of Sanskrit has now grown manifold and is now one of the premiers Distance Education University in India that is providing quality education and research oriented programs in various disciplines in the region. The University is located in a sprawling campus of over 400 acres on the western banks of the holy river Brahmasarovar. The Kurukshetra University has also received NAAC accreditation.

Eligibility Criteria:
A candidate seeking admission to the two year B Ed course in Kurukshetra University through distance mode will have to hold a Bachelorís or Masterís degree in any discipline from a recognized University with an aggregate of 50% marks in order to be eligible for the course. The aggregate marks are down by 5% if the candidate seeking admission is an SC/ST or visually or physically handicapped or a blind student. Also, a teacher who has two year working experience in any Government or Aided school or a private institution recognized by the Haryana State will be eligible to seek admission to the B Ed course.

Admission Procedure:
The admission will be given to eligible candidates who have written the qualifying examination conducted by the University. The selection of the candidate will be on the basis of merit obtained in the examination and also on the reservation policy of the Kurukshetra University. The shortlisted candidates will have to contact the administrative office with all his or her original testimonials for further counseling on the prescribed dates set by the University.
