Jamia Millia Islamia University Distance Education BEd Course

September 2002 saw the birth of Jamia Millia Islamia Center for Distance and Opening Learning. With the starting of this distance education learning center, many students who wanted to pursue their higher education in this University were able to pursue their dream of studying here and that too they were not required to register for conventional system of education. The Distance Education Center of the University provides flexibility for the students to decide on the pace, place and duration of the course. Also, the University provides the students with opportunities to study a combination of course from the wide variety of disciplines available through the University. A number off study and program centers are there to provide the students with necessary support and guidance throughout the duration of their course.

Eligibility Criteria:
An candidate who is interested to take up a Bachelor of Education B Ed course from the University will have to have obtained a Bachelor’s degree (10+2+3) or a Master’s degree in any discipline from any recognized University. Also candidates with a two year full time experience in teaching on a permanent or temporary basis in either a primary or a secondary or a senior secondary school that is run by State or Central Government or any Union Territory are eligible to seek admission to the distant education B Ed course offered by the University.

Admission Procedure:
A candidate seeking admission to the distant education Bachelor of Education program offered by the Jamia Millia Islamia University for Distance and Open Learning will have to be fulfilling all the eligibility criteria before seeking the admission for the course. The University will be conducting an entrance test for all the eligible candidates for the B Ed course. All the eligible candidates must take up the examination. The merits obtained in the entrance test will be the criteria on which the students will be admitted to the University’s distant education B Ed program.
